Phase 1 – Mobile Classrooms
LENGUA-LANGUAGE: Spanish

During Phase 1, we have been running trial Resilient Communities projects on the ground in Guatemala. We have two staff members, and our work is grassroots in every sense of the word: The classrooms – in the fields and under the trees; the office – wherever there is space to plug in a computer or hang up a whiteboard.
The Resilient Communities program is essentially about connecting to create change: working with community groups to develop and implement projects that contribute to a healthy, sustainable future. The projects have been exceedingly well received by the community, and have generated much interested in Seres’ work and the future Seres Centre. The success of these projects has also demonstrated even more the need for this type of work in rural communities.
For the remainder of 2010, we will be focusing on the Projects below. We are currently running a July Fundraising Appeal to help cover the costs of these projects. If you are interested in donating, simply click on the link and you will be taken to our page where you can donate online in a few simple clicks.
