The Seres logo is a tree inside a circle, which starts out broken and becomes solid. This represents the cycle of life, which is an ongoing evolution. Within this circle is the Ceiba tree – a majestic tree that represents the Sacred Tree of Life for the Mayan people. In Mayan mythology, the Tree of Life plays an important role in connecting heaven, earth, man and the underworld, as the Seres Story Tree plays an important role in connecting the stories of all the people whose lives have been interwoven, impacted, touched by this project.

Volunteers, staff, donors, campesinos and students: this section of our website -the Seres Story Tree – is a celebration of these individuals and their stories, and their place of honor in the story and evolution of the Seres Community.
