Juan Daniel with their newly donated water filter

One of the primary goals of Seres is to empower people to create positive change. This doesn’t mean just the farmers that we work with, this means everyone in the Seres community – students, mentors, volunteers and donors. When you make a donation to Seres – whether in time, money, materials or anything else – we want you to feel that this donation has made a difference, and that it is not just a drop in the ocean.
While having the experience of volunteering in a developing country is fantastic, we realise that not everyone has the time or resources to be able to do this. Making a financial donation is a way to be involved and contribute to the work that we are doing that can be much less expensive than plane tickets and travel costs (with a lower carbon footprint as well!).
We also realise that everyone has different interests and passions, so if you have in mind a particular use for your donation (or would like to know what options are available), we invite you to chat with us about what projects we have going on. You can do so by emailing info@projectseres.org

HOW MUCH SHOULD I DONATE?

Looking at wormfarm designs

Whatever the amount, your donation can make a big difference. Here are some examples of what your donation can do:
- $20 can buy environmental educational materials for children at the Casa del Niños
- $50 can build an educational wormfarm or water filter for a local school
- $120 can pay for 1 months training and materials for one of our vocational education students
- $200 can help install a demonstration biodigestor
- $500 can install a natural blackwater treatment system

When you are thinking of making a donation, try and connect it to something in your life that can remind you of what you are doing. Regualar donations are a great way of doing this – e.g. a cup of coffee a day ($10/week) or one day’s wages each month. Alternatively, you can give a donation as a gift for someone else – if you would like a gift certificate, please send an email to info@projectseres.org with the name of the person you are gifting the donation to when you make the payment.
