Started at the beginning of this year, Seres is a project still in its infancy – making it an exciting and unique opportunity for you to get involved at a grassroots level and see what a difference your contribution can make…there are many ways to be involved, so take a look at some of the suggestions below and welcome to the Seres Community

Help Us To Secure A Site for the Seres Center

Participation is powerful, and we need your participation to help us raise enough money to purchase land and build the Seres Center. Our fundraising goal for 2009 is $50,000, and here’s how your contribution can make a difference:

One Days Wages

Ever wondered what just one days wages can help you achieve? How about providing climate change education to vulnerable communities, or building a sustainable, environmentally sound campus? We are reaching out to the Seres community and asking them to donate just one days salary per month, providing the seed money that will help us to meet our fundraising goal.

Grassroots Gifts

$50,000 seems like a lot, right? But from little things, big things grow…$100 each from 100 individuals becomes $10,000, and that’s great progress. Invite your friends and family to participate with you, and become part of the Seres community.

Lead Gifts

A lead gift of $5,000 or more will build the foundation for our Capital Campaign. If you want to be a Leader and give generously to our campaign, please email the Executive Director on corrina[at]projectseres[dot]org to discuss options and Lead Donor offers.

Become a Volunteer

At this stage of the project, there is plenty to be done, and it doesn’t always require being on the ground in Guatemala. We need people with a range of experience: lawyers, designers, architects, engineers, researchers, educators, community-builders and socialites. Strategic Partnerships

We are also interested in making strategic partnerships with organisations interested in working with Seres on a long-term basis. Opportunities exist for social enterprise ventures, educational programs and exchanges with schools, design projects with universities, and professional development with engineering, architectural and design firms.
