Seres gets “Charity” Status

2nd September, 2009

It was a momentous day for me, and a landmark day for Seres when, on 2nd September 2009 we signed the Memorandum of Understanding that would give Project Seres not-for-profit status. Signed between Seres and Compassionfruit Society – a registered Canadian charity – the MOU is a great achievement after less than 7 months of operation. Along with the MOU, the signing also makes official the partnership between Project Seres and Compassionfruit Society’s other Guatemalan project – Project Somos. The two projects have been working in close proximity for some time now, and this partnership will make the most of the collaboration and synergy between the two.
