David Dean (USA)

At age 20 I dropped out of Michigan State University and drove to California to mature as a street activist, community organizer, and counselor.  Working with residential programs for emotionally disturbed pre adolescents, on to the second home for runaways in CA, building a gang drop in center with the gang members and developing it into a full community center in a multi-cultural community, and on to a peer counseling program developed with “at risk youth” for other “at risk youth”, etc., etc., etc.  I eventually went in to teaching at the High School level, retired early at 63 years of age, moved to Antigua and decided I needed to continue to be involved with the people around me. Injustice, poverty, and inequality in all forms are my driving forces.
