Project Seres was started in March 2009, in response to the social injustice occurring in the poorest regions of the world as a result of climate change. In August 2009, Seres formed a partnership with Compassion Fruit Society, a Canadian charity founded in 2002. Compassion Fruit Society oversees two projects in Guatemala: Project Seres, and the Project Somos Childrens Village. These two projects work closely together, operating autonomously but utilizing the synergies between the two to ensure that we have a long-lasting and profound effect in the communities where we work.
