Project Somos is establishing a sustainable eco-village for abandoned and orphaned children in Guatemala, which will have homes with Guatemalan Foster Mothers raising a household of children. The Village will be built on the same site as the Seres Centre, and there will be significant collaboration between the two projects – providing the opportunity through their day-to-day living for these children to experience a sustainable, healthy and organic lifestyle.

Haddock Invention is a cleantech innovation firm with a focus on emerging markets. The first project collaboration with RISD was kicked off in October 2010 with the school’s Advance Studio Architecture class working on a site layout for the projects, and models of the earth-bag housing that will be used in the construction of the Centre.
